hello. i’m miss tukru. i’m 29 years old (turning thirty this summer) i live in a small town in southern england but i’m originally from finland, however i’ve lived here for the past eight years. i work in a toy shop during the day but at night i tumbl too much and run a little zine distro called VAMPIRE SUSHI and i write perzine called YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL and watch too much buffy the vampire slayer and eat cheesecake.

i have a boyfriend i live with and i’ve been with him for SEVEN YEARS (fuck that’s a long time) but i’m a queer cislady, i just happen to be in love with a cis boy, and he’s my first love too.. in case you were wondering.

i post a lot about zines & feminism & body image & queer / trans stuff, but also kitties, cutesy stuff, tattoos, ridiculous jewellery and fashion, knitting & craftiness, icky stuff, horror films, vampires, + doctor who and buffy and harry potter and true blood and whatever i happen to be into at the time. it varies but that’s a fairly accurate summary!

i’ve got a BA in photography but it’s not been put to much use since i graduated five years ago. i’m trying to do more art again; drawing, writing and photography. i mainly did self-portraits but my flat is really dark and tiny and messy so it’s difficult to set anything up and do proper pix. i suffer from mild depression and anxiety (i say mild because i don’t have nearly as bad as others and i’m coping pretty well, but it’s no fun when i have a bad spell and i take anti-depressants more or less daily, except when i forget / can’t be bovvered. and when i don’t i can tell the difference.) i’m at times very silly and have a dangerous sense of humour.

i previously had a tumblr called kissakerho which is finnish for kitty club. i felt like i needed a fresh start for 2012, and i also wanted to establish a better system tagging my posts and going back and editing the tags on 9275 post seemed like a stupid idea. and since i never delete anything (srsly, i’ve only ever deleted my myspace and my original twitter account. there’s about 10 old livejournals still floating about. i just DO NOT DELETE. i keep archives) so i decided to start a brand new tumblr blog..

i should probably go to bed any minute now because i have work in the morning and besides i can’t think of anything else to add to this for now.. i’ll start tumbling for real tomorrow. in the mean time, you can check out my archives at kissakerho & my 1st tumblr, yksisarvinen. or you could also talk dirty (or clean) to me if you’ve got any questions or just wanna tell me something for some reason.
